For those who don't know, Teto is the most popular character based off of UTAU, which is basically the freeware alternative to Vocaloid (which... runs about $100-200 USD PER CHARACTER). Fans are somewhat divided on the UTAUloids in general, but Teto does find her way into quite a few Vocaloid videos, especially ones of Miku songs.

You haven't heard some of the... less than poppish original songs people have made with Miku, have you? And it's almost always Miku that the Japanese artists give the overly creepy/yandere songs to. (WARNING: PRECEEDING LINKS MAY CREEP YOU THE HELL OUT) Pemmy was... almost eerily in character.
