I participated in the The 30 Minute Pony Challenge right before this update. The challenge was to draw Big Macintosh, so there was no way I could refuse it. You can see my entry here.
Hey, everyone. I’ve been out of town since Thursday and had to kinda’ rush this comic upon getting home. So I’m sorry if the quality isn’t up to normal. I was REALLY REALLY tired.
I also haven’t had the chance to update the donation bar. I will do it on the next update for sure.
Sorry for the inconveniences.
About this strip… I think Chris’s response when I sent this to him, is all that needs to be said.
“I don’t even know what to say…
…except I expect we’ll be seeing Bubsy and Awesome Possum slash art…coining the new term…Bubsome, or Awesby…and even creepier pictures of a foursome with both the male and female versions…people dressing up as the female versions at Anthrocon, Furcon, Fur Affinity, Furrypalooza, or wherever those weirdos go to “release” their anger at society for not accepting them…but really…this is pretty disturbing lol”
Yeah…
In the last few weeks I’ve seen a couple of movies in the theaters. I’ve seen The Avengers (twice) and Battleship.
The Avengers (in case you haven’t heard) is F’N AWESOME! It’s possibly the best movie I’ve ever seen, and that’s saying a lot. At the very least, it’s the BEST Superhero movie I’ve ever seen. I love the action, the effects, the dialog (oh, how I loved the dialog), the characters (Tony Stark, you never cease to entertain), the actors and actresses (Scarlett Johansson <3), and some GREAT gags. The movie managed to have a lot of excellent humor moments thanks to some wonderfully written character interaction. The interaction between Iron Man and Captain America being by far my favorite.
In short it was a beautifully well executed movie that I can't even start to explain how amazing it is. If you haven't seen it, GO SEE IT!
Now Battleship, I went into this movie expecting something horrible beyond belief. I mean, come on, it's based on the board game of the same name, has Transformer whales, and the aliens shoot the board game pegs at people, you can't blame me for believing I was getting something laughably horrible here. Well, guess what... I WAS WRONG! Yeah, you heard right, Battleship was actually a pretty damn good movie. And it wasn't just me, I saw it with my wife, Devan, Aphex, and our friend Sara, and we all highly enjoyed it and all responded in shock and awe over how good the movie was.
Now, I’m not saying it’s the best movie ever (that’s The Avengers), it’s not even close to being the best movie ever. BUT it’s still a DAMN GOOD movie, especially considering what it’s based on. The movie manages to be fun, action packed, and just the right degree of silliness. It has just the right level of seriousness and silliness to balance into a wonderful action movie. I highly recommend it. It’s entertaining and well worth the cost of admission.
So I HIGHLY recommend you watch both these movies, you won’t regret it.
Blarg. Seems my luck hasn’t improved much.
Two of my cats got sick with an upper respiratory infection that was causing to not eat (cats will rarely eat anything they can’t smell). So that was an expensive vet bill. But wait, there’s more! My Jeep is starting to make a funky sound and my father in-law thinks it might be the alternator. Not good. Especially since I’ll be up shit creek without a paddle if my vehicle is rendered undrivable.
I guess a week in the mental health facility and anti-depressants (Psychiatrist felt I didn’t need ADD meds…. yet) can only do so much. They may make me feel better and handle things somewhat better, but they can’t change my luck… and I can still get depressed. Oh well…
Hello, everyone. Just letting you know I’ll be at Ultimacon on May 25 – May 27 in New Orleans, Louisiana. So stop by if your in the neighborhood or even if you aren’t.
This being said I have a lot of stuff to do to prepare for the con. Because of this Meanie Belle is on hiatus and this might follow if I get too stressed for time, but I’m going to try my best to prevent that.
Also did I mention I’m totally in love with Skullgirls. I think it might be one of the best fighting games I’ve played since Street Fighter 3: Third Strike. Take that UMvC3.
Remember everyone, the next donation prize is me posting to the public the Femmegasm Adventures comic that got posted in Radio Comix’s Furrlough. This is a crazy and demented adventure starring both Shelly and June. Whoever they are. :p
Nothing to report… going to go play Skullgirls.
First off DONATION WALLPAPER IS HERE FINALLY! Click here to check it out on the Femmegasm Bonus Tumblr. I hope everyone likes it.
As for today’s comic, I apologize if not many people got it, but it’s something that was bothering me for a while and I had to do a comic about it. Video game giant Konami had purchased another video game company I like, Hudson. Makers of such great games as Bomberman, Adventure Island, Bonk’s Adventure and more. This happened at a time when Hudson was in the process of making some new games. A few Bomberman games and a new Bonk game. The latter I was looking very forward to.
Well Konami buys out Hudson and promises to complete the games they had in production and let Hudson work on their own despite the buy out. However not too long after the buy out, Konami goes back on their word, completely absorbs Hudson and cancelled ALL the games they had in production. Pretty dickish move if you ask me. I swear, between them and Capcom it seems like they’re just trying to piss people off.
Anyway I was quite a bit saddened with the cancellation of the new Bonk game, but can unfortunately understand not wanting to take a risk on a franchise that’s been kinda’ dormant since the SNES (not counting a Japan only updated version of the original game on Gamecube/PS2), but cancelling Bomberman games?! That’s insane?! Bomberman games are practically like printing money. Damn near everyone loves Bomberman (hell, it’s kinda’ what was keeping Hudson alive for a while there). So cancelling a Bomberman game just seems baffling to me. Those games sell no matter what (well… there was that one Xbox one…), so yeah… quite a pissy business decision if you ask me.
