Only one more pony left. Special thanks to AphexAngel and ShadowTails for pitch hitting in the colorist department while Chris is off fighting Koopas. Poor guy, his princess was in another castle. Anyways, I hope you like the coloring job from Apex and ST.
Also I’m thinking of redoing the setup on the Store and adding a few new prints and removing some items (most of the shirts), so you might want to get some stuff or check it out before it changes.
Also I was curious if there’s anything you’d guys would like me to make prints of. Your feedback would be most helpful. Thanks.
PS. My friend, Dave The Atomic Vegetable, has started a NEW COMIC! Check it out!

I am simultaneously repulsed at Pestilence, and amused at the Jazzy-Pony poster.
So famine is going to be an anarchic(sp) cheerleader.
While I approve of the idea of a cheerleader promoting anarchy, I think the word you’re looking for is “anorexic”.
That’s the word I was to lazy to look up and type.
It’s a Marigold pony!
Seems fitting enough for Pestilence. I certainly wouldn’t want to be walking in there, even if it was my sibling’s room. DX
On another note, YAY a Jazzy Pony Poster. I bet that her cutie mark is either a tail, or a ripped dress.
that’s horrifying… and somehow more fitting then the typical green cloud of disease shtick.
I think I can speak for all of your readers when I say that we all want to see more of pony Jazz.
That answer’s my questions as to whether you would use Pestilence or Conquest(the original four Horsemen were War, Death, Conquest and Famine, somewhere along the line Conquest got booted out and replaced with Pestilence, and I don’t know why).
Originally I was going to user Conquest, because it is technically the correct name, but I had trouble thinking of a good Conquest pony. Then an idea for Pestilence popped into my instead, so I just went with it.
conquest is too similar too war, while pestilence is a distinct and quite horrifying thing. Possibly also had to do with some major plague or another, say, the black death.
Alright, it is clear here that Pestilence got her cutie mark because she is addicted to World of Horsecraft.
Somehow I’m not sure If War-Pony would dislike Pestilence-Pony for her general lack of interest in doing anything physical(Stereotypically The Irish and those of Irish descent are hard workers and hard partiers), or like her for her desire for conquest(Even though it is a game).
Famine might not be a cheerleader.I can see it fitting, but that would be too obvious, no it’s gotta be something else.
I already commented I thought she’d be a chief who profits from the hungry. But these Pony’s don’t seem to be able to physically affet others ‘yet’ so she my theory might not work.
Maybe someone with snooty taste’s, someone who would refuse food in front of her if it didn’t meet her standards.Though Famine just has to be a Pegasus, the group doesn’t have one yet.You know, That’s the kind of person War-pony could probably hate!
Someone who’s snooty, and with a British accent, the Irish and British do not get along very well, but I do look forward to what Famine-Pony is like.
That’s so creepy…those are the EXACT colors I used when I started coloring but couldn’t finish…creepy.
When I was reading it, part of me believed that there actually might be a real World of Horsecraft game out there somewhere, just waiting to go live…
That IS kinda creepy. The only criteria Robbie gave me was that Pestilence was white and brown.
YEECH
And yet not as terrifying lookin’ as the last two.
Also, Jazzy Pony, WIN WIN WIN
So, my initial response was “ow, my pride” because I play WoW- very infrequently, but I play it.[ Yes, I am a girl and I play WoW, but according to internet folklore, I don't even exist on the internets =D] But, I cheered up when I saw the Jazzy Pony- “Oh, He drew Jazzy as a pony. Cute” Then I noticed the screen on the computer and thought “that’s totally what the WoW screen looks like. How does Tempo-sama know that??” Granted, a quick Google search is all that’s needed to find out, I just think it’s interesting you put that much detail into it. But I’m curious now of WoH… how would that play out exactly? Would it be ponies playing as humans of different classes, or ponies playing as ponies of different classes??
I’d imagine it as ponies playing as ponies of different classes. It is World of Horsecraft afterall.
As for why I know anything about WOW, while I don’t like it, my wife does. So I’m usually forced to watch more of it than I’d ever care to,
This is a really creative and funny Pony. In that last panel alone I can see that at least 6 different diseases are cultivating. That’s how I picture some MMORPG addicts too. (Sorry MMORPG players.)
Just Wondering, Have you tryed to use Manga Studio EX yet? I got a copy this week and I’ve been playing around with it! One thing I noticed out of the box is Documentation or lack of. Some videos on the net, that explans how to use it from other artists but even that is dated. It will inport 3D model files, but not the tectures and I yet to get it to do IK (to pose it). Check out my facebook logo!
I’ve tried it and think it’s rubbish. I’d rather use different software that’s at least marginally user-friendly.
That and it doesn’t allow for crazy dynamic layouts or panel breakthroughs. I spend less time fighting the software when I use something like SAI instead, which is also by far cheaper.
Well, I bought it on a whim. I only paid $99 for the EX version of it, so maybe I getting my moneys worth – original price is $299. My first impression was it was going to be like photoshop, but it doesn’t behave like that so far and I don’t see how they expect you to use it without any real documantation.
I got SAI for $55, licenced to as many computers as I want, and I’ve yet to find a better program for lineart. It was also designed with the tabelet user in mind, and has rotation and flip tools easily accessible, making canvas rotation and rechecking views a snap.
Wow… I’m just like… Watching in the mirror, duuude…!
I guess it me before I have to demo a project! You don’t see or hear of me! I’m just locked away in a vaulted room until it works right! Thats me! Then the day of the demo, I look like death warmed over!
Okay, Pestilence Pony is officially my favorite Apocalypse Pony so far.
Anyways, lovely art! I love how dim and gross everything is, plus Pestilence’s Sister’s expressions were awesome and well done. Pestilence herself takes the cake, though, with her horrible acne, nerd glasses, grimy hair, and my personal favorite: her pee tank.
PS. I need to learn your shading technique. For me, your shading really makes the difference between a good comic and a bad one.
The way I did it for this comic was I laid out flat colors for the entirety of the image, then created a multiply layer and used purple (138,104,137) on a low-medium opacity (8-30% based on texture) and afterwards added a layer for speculars, like the shines on the pop bottles and pee tank.
I’d give you something better like appropriate color names, but I’m colorblind.
If you’re curious as to the theory behind the shading technique, go to http://www.itchstudios.com/psg/art_tut.htm . Learning the theory behind the work, as well as doing your own studies, will help you improve far more than someone giving you instructions on a single peice. Give a man a fish, etc.
What happens when the pee/shit tank is full, will she empty it?
Nah, that will actually require her to leave her room which cuts into precious gaming time. My guess is that she will recycle her urine and paint the walls with her shit.
Four horses of the apocalypse! I bet Famine eats so much that no one else gets any!
Also, to above: No, she’ll get a new one.
Yep. I fell over laughing. Ow.
“World of Horsecraft”, oh yeah. -XD
