Comic aside, I decided to use the version of Aquaman that appears in Batman: The Brave And The Bold, a show I’ve grown quite fond of on CN. In fact, I find the version of Aquaman in that show to be the best version of Aquaman EVER. Granted that doesn’t say much, considering I’ve never been too much of an Aquaman fan. Though I blame the SuperFriends for a lot of that. Nonetheless Brave and the Bold gives us a really fun Aquaman. This Aquaman loves adventure, loves to talk, and is totally full of himself, but still manages to be possibly the nicest guy you’ll ever meet (even if he’s a tad on the dippy side). Ever meet one of those guys who’s done a lot of things in his life and loves to talk about it to people while he buys their lunch or drinks. Yeah, that’s Aquaman, and I think it really works. I love that show.

If there’s one positive thing that can be said for any incarnation of Aquaman, it’s that his fish-telepathy DOO-DOO-DOO noise is an awesome sound effect.
