It’s a Super Mario Bros. 2 reference!
If there’s anything else I have to say about this strip, it was probably inspired by the fact I actually got a white christmas this year. You may say “Big Deal!”, but it is a big deal when you live in Texas. This rarely snows here and usually if it does it’s almost never on Christmas, it’s both awesome and scary when it does. It’s awesome because it’s a beautiful and rare occurrence, but scary because Texans don’t know what to do with snow and immediately forget simple things like driving, walking, and thinking. Car wrecks and personal injuries go through the F’n rough. None the less, it was still a nice treat.
I hope everyone had a happy Christmas.

I guess “cats & dogs” don’t approve to well in their world.
WHY DO REFERENCES ALWAYS HURT!? >.<
That’s not Texas. That’s everyone in the US. As soon as a single snowflake is forecasted, people run out and buy milk eggs and bread so they can sit inside and eat their French Toast for the next 40 days
Eh, snow’s fun if you have winter tires and know how to drive in it.
References, on the other hand…
It’s nice to see a comic that’s just a goofy little chuckle rather than a sex joke or some sort of equally disturbing thing. For a while there, I was beginning to wonder if you’d just plain FORGOTTEN how to be funny without being offensive.
I loved the original SMB series, although Super Mario World on the SNES was great, too. I’m not too crazy about anything thereafter. But of the original NES series, the second game was my favourite. Probably because it was so different from the other games.
Man, if I had to walk through that all the time, I’d be mighty sore about it. XD
Dude, I’m from Jersey so I expect snow and ice. On a trip to Tenessee and Mississippi in February of 09, and unexpected blizzard happened. We knew how to drive in the white stuff, but like ya said, nobody else. And with no gaurd rails and huge banks on the sides of the freeways, there were accidents everywhere. Though terrible……..it was funny as hell……..do i have a problem?
