It’s A Nightmare

First off, I love Soul Calibur 4, it’s a damn fun and pretty game. It’s just… there’s some weird… cosmetic issues with the game. However the most obvious ones have already been mocked to hell by now, so I decided on pointing out a more subtle issue that’s been bothering me with the character designs, the eyes. All the 3D models of the characters have overly unnecessary amount of detail around the eyes and make them look like they are either sleep deprived, drugged out, goth, have pink eye, or all of the above.

So I decided to make fun of that detail instead of the others like Ivy wearing a tiny piece of torn cloth as an outfit or how Cassandra has gone from a B cup to a DDD cup between Soul Calibur 2 and Soul Calibur 4 when the games seem to mysteriously take place less than a year apart from each other. But like I said the fan service issues have been beaten to death, so I avoided those all together.

Incidentally, the three characters shown in that last panel are my three favorite Soul Calibur characters. Pretty neat, huh? I guess that’s another reason I decided not to deal with the fan service issue. I mean, how can I make fun of fan service when Taki is one of my favorite characters? Because if she was a real ninja she couldn’t get away with those things going everywhere like they do. She’d have to bind them or something, otherwise they’d obstruct her cool ninja moves. Who does she think she is, Kasumi from Dead or Alive?
