Ah, BurgerTime, one of my many favorite video games. It was one of the few arcade games that both my parents and I enjoyed while I was growing up.
BurgerTime stars Peter Pepper, a chef out to make some REALLY BIG hamburgers. Out to stop him are the evil Mr. Hot Dog, Mr. Egg, and Mr. Pickle. Mr. Pickle is evil. The whole game plays like the acid trip of a fast food employee. It’s also one of the few games released by video game company Data East that will always be recognized as a classic, rather than just be recognized for being bad (Bad Dudes, Fighter’s History), weird (Karnov, Trio The Punch), or a blatant ripoff of something else (Tumblepop, Fighters History (deja vu)). None the less, Burgertime is a great game, and you can see more about it via one of my Prepare For The Randomness videos. PS. Burgertime had some pretty creepy commercials back in the 80s, too. The live action one below has haunted my memories since I was a child. The second one I don’t remember as much, but decided to show it as well, since it kept with the creepy theme (and had an interesting remix of the BT theme)
