By a stroke of coincidence this comic comes just in time with Sega’s announcement of Sonic Colors that went on yesterday. That’s kinda cool since I didn’t remotely plan it that way. In fact, today’s comic is merely a gag at the Japanese theme song for Sonic X. For those unfamiliar with it, or don’t remember the other comic that referenced the opening. Here’s a video to help you get the gag. WOO!
Chris is still sick and I colored again. Not much else left to say. So check out some Sonic fan art I did on Deviantart. Woo!
Sugar > Corn Syrup
Mountain Dew Throwback is great stuff. It and Pepsi Throwback (the only tolerable version of Pepsi) are currently available from Pepsico for a limited time. They are in short, versions of Mountain Dew and Pepsi where the Corn Syrup is replaced with sugar so they can resemble their original formula. They come complete with awesomely retro can designs. If you can find some at your local store, I recommend you get it. It’s awesome and tasty!
Plus there’s a hidden reference in today’s comic. I wonder if anyone will catch it.
Yeah, I know, I said I was done with the Chaotix stuff, but I saw Disney’s insanely awesome movie, The Princess And The Frog, and it inspired this strip. It’s a great movie and you should all watch it.
Unfortunately I don’t have much else to say. I’ve had possibly one of the worst days of my life today. My computer has completely crashed thanks to it somehow getting a shit ton of maleware and spyware despite me having virus and spyware protection programs I run daily, so it’s pretty much unusable at the moment (it won’t even let me access the internet or change my wallpaper at the moment). I’m typing this post on my laptop, which is slow, clunky, and in pretty terrible shape. Too make matters worse, I almost lost my job today, and my bosses decided to keep me around the office during this near fire long enough to make it to where I was only able to get like 4 hours of sleep. Sigh.
Sigh. I guess Robert Blake knows me too well.
After seeing these comics, my pal, Cary, took it that I hated Charmy, which is far from the truth. I actually kinda’ like Charmy. Sure, he’s annoying, but I think has an adorable design and is a somewhat endearing character. I’m just a sick sick man is all. My comics usually just consist of me writing whatever comes into my head, and seemly that consisted of a bunch of crazy stuff with the Chaotix Detective Agency. However I’m pretty sure this will be the last we see of these guys… for a while.
PS. Just to show that I have no hard feelings towards Charmy, I drew this picture of him. BAM!
Seriously? What use does Charmy serve? I don’t hate Charmy, he has a rather adorable character design. I just don’t understand WHY he’s a member of the Chaotix Detective Agency. He doesn’t serve any purpose at all.
On another topic, the previous comic got a great response from Chris when I sent him to color it. He said quote, “WRONG!!!!! WRONG!!!!! WRONG!!! NO!!!!! NO!!!!! NO!!!!!! NO!!!!!! NO!!!!! NO!!!!! NO!!!! NO!!! NO!!!!! NO!!!!! NO!!! NO!!!!! NO!!!! NO!!!!!! NO!!!!!! NO!!!! NO!!!! NO!!!! NO!!!! NO!!! WRONG!!!! WRONG!!!!! WRONG!!!!!! SOOOOOOO WROOOOOOONG!!!!!….funny…but still….NOOOOO! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! GROOOOOOOSS!!!!!!”. He also agreed that I may have something mentally wrong. That’s a serious comment coming from someone who once wrote this. If he says I got a problem, I must.
And now… the Sonic fanbase hates me. I just want to say, “No, I’m not a Vector hater!” for a second. I actually like Vector a lot, he’s probably in my top ten favorite Sonic characters. Espio, not as much, but this isn’t to hate on him either. This strip, if anything, is just proof that I’m mentally insane. I mean, there are times, like this strip, where I REALLY think there’s something wrong with my head. Is that bad? Well, do you enjoy Femmegasm? If so, then it must not be bad.
Honestly I’m most likely not much more warped than anyone else on the internet… which I now find insulting… to both me and the internet. But this comic is most likely inspired by a mix of things. Green Wiggly and I’s weird views on the Sonic Universe (check out some of my Sonic artwork on Deviantart sometime), the fact the wife and I had a big fight the day I made this comic, and also my wife and I’s many failed attempts to have a child (and no, my wife is not to be related to Espio, she is, in fact, a woman). All that probably boiled over into the comic we got today (the argument took quite a bit of energy out of me, thus the cut and paste).
Either that or I secretly think Espio is a bottom, who knows.
PS. I’m selling a lot of artwork on Ebay for Christmas. Check it out!
Okay, the finished comic is back up, and Chris got his computer fixed. Seemed he needed to replace the power supply and that was it. Woo.
Alex Robinson brought us this excellent little guest comic. One that references Sonic the Hedgehog without actually SHOWING Sonic the Hedgehog. The man might be more talented than me.
Also I just wanted to let everyone know that I will be attending AnimeFest this year. So come by and check me out. I’ll have a table with buttons, art, and possibly more. Hope to see you there.
